I am an artist who lives, works and teaches in the Phoenix area of AZ. I have earned two Master of Fine Arts degrees, one at San Diego State University and one at Otis Institute of the Arts in L.A., CA. I was lucky to study Renaissance painting in Florence, Italy.
In graduate school I had a part-time job working on a sports scuba diving boat where I explored many of the beautiful coves along the pacific coast of Baja Mexico. I later lived in a pine forest in the San Gabriel Mountains of southern California where my husband and I raised our two sons. We had bears, foxes, and plenty of deer for our neighbors. It is all of these experiences that inform my drawings and paintings. I work in oil paints as well as charcoal and simple graphite pencils. I teach at a college where I hope my students learn as much from me as I do from them.
How long can we continue to destroy the wildlife on this planet? Who gave us the right? Who is going to wake up? What will happen to us ALL?
